• How We Got Here
    • Our story began back in 2007 when our founder was inspired by the show "The Amazing Race." He decided he could bring these exciting adventures to the masses and quickly launched the Great Urban Race website and hosted eight races in the fall of 2007.
    • After successful 2007 and 2008 Great Urban Race seasons, our business was re-named "Red Frog Events" and we launched Warrior Dash in 2009, a 5K obstacle course race and festival complete with mud, sweat and beer. This race series became wildly popular across the United States, and eventually, around the globe and was the catalyst for the company we've become today.
    • Since then, Great Urban Race has continued to thrive, Warrior Dash has become the world's largest obstacle race series, and Red Frog has launched multiple brands including Firefly Music Festival, American Beer Classic and we have no intention of slowing down!
    • In addition to the various events we host, we're humbled by the national attention we're received for our unique workplace environment (dubbed Camp Red Frog), our company culture and emphasis on constant innovation. We were named the 9th fastest growing company in America by Inc. Magazine in 2012. Outside Magazine placed us on its "Best Places to Work" list in 2012 and the Chicago Tribune named us the "Top Workplace" in 2011. Our employee benefits package, otherwise known as "The World's Best Benefits," includes unlimited vacation days, 100% coverage on medical insurance, 100% match on up to 10% contribution for 401(k), and a fully paid, month-long sabbatical every five years.

    • 2007

      • Joe launched Great Urban Race in Chicago at Cans in Wicker Park
      • Seven additional Great Urban Races launched.
    • 2008

      • Joe continued to grow and expand Great Urban Race, as well as seek potential new candidates to join the Red Frog Family.
      • We moved into our first office in Lincoln Park.
    • 2009

      • Warrior Dash launched and quickly sold out with 2,000 participants.
      • We moved into a larger office space in the same building in Lincoln Park.
    • 2010

      • We launched our in house registration database, RegistratioNATION.
      • We continued to expand Warrior Dash and Great Urban Race.
      • The St. Jude Heroes program launched, which later expanded into a national partnership across several of our brands.
    • 2011

      • Warrior Dash expanded internationally.
      • The U.S. Chamber of Commerce awarded us the Dream Big Small Business of the Year and we also won the Chicago Innovation Award.
      • Red Frog Bar Crawls launched in October 2011 with Nightmare on Clark Street in Chicago.
    • 2012

      • We hosted the first Firefly Music Festival and Farm to Fork farm dinner.
      • The Warrior Dash series expanded with the launch of Iron Warrior Dash and Urban Warrior Dash.
      • Inc. Magazine named us #9 on their Fastest Growing Company in America list.
      • Outside Magazine named us one of their "Best Places to Work."
    • 2013

      • We committed $25 million to our friends and exclusive national charity partner, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital! The funds raised will go towards a new tower being built on St. Jude's Memphis campus: The "St. Jude Red Frog Events Proton Therapy Center"
      • American Beer Classic was launched.
      • Forbes Magazine named us #18 on their Most Promising Companies in America list.
      • Forbes Magazine named Joe Reynolds and Ryan Kunkel #19 on their Most Promising CEO's Under 35 list.

    • Our internship is a learning experience like no other, where you will you dive into the Active Entertainment industry and get real responsibility right away. While there is a small possibility of internships evolving into full-time positions, there is no guarantee.     • Internships are offered year-round and last three to five months, depending on the season. This is not your "pick up bagels and coffee" type of internship.   • Red Froggers are extraordinary people doing super duper things both in the office and out on the course. We want to be the best. We do whatever it takes to get the job done and hustle is part of how we live our daily lives. Life at Camp Red Frog is a daily whirlwind adventure and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
  • We’ve found that having fun at work actually makes us more productive, so we take part in plenty of monkey business. Here at Camp Red Frog we live by a “work hard, play harder” mentality, taking time to fit in that balance by riding our office zip-line, joining in on kitchen dance parties and dressing up for our frequent theme days.
  • The fun never stops there. We have volunteer days, field trips, Pancakes and Plaid mornings, pajama days, Wii breaks, dodgeball leagues, pet fish, foosball tournaments, rip stick lessons and generally more fun than you can shake a stick at. There’s also Red Bull, soft drinks and beer* for the taking when you’re in need of a pick-me-up.

    • I. Passion
      A CS Ninja is passionate. Passionate about service, passionate about our customers, and passionate about fellow coworkers. A Ninja will go to great lengths to guard Red Frog's business, a customer's honor, and his/her own integrity. A Ninja always cares and is never apathetic. A customer's problem is a Ninja's problem.
    • II. Focus/Commitment
      While in his/her element, a Ninja is focused on the problem at hand. He/she is not easily distracted by shiny aluminum foil or the most dangerous enemy, cat videos on YouTube.
    • III. Haste
      A Ninja strikes swiftly and makes a clean cut. A Ninja picks up a call within 2 rings and never leaves a LilyPad un-chopped for more than 2 hours. If a customer is particularly troublesome (a Samurai), a Ninja follows up to each response with poise and diligence until it is quelled. Ninjas always show up on time for their phone shifts.
    • IV. Integrity
      A Ninja never lies or misinforms a customer for his/her benefit. A Ninja is always transparent and honest with the customer, while not endangering Red Frog's business or the participant's health. A Ninja never complains about a task at hand, no matter how overwhelming. They tackle every incidence with zeal, positivity, and for the betterment of the clan as a whole, as opposed to individual advancement.
    • V. Teamwork
      Ninjas work as a part of a team. Ninjas know they are interdependent and will always need another's help. A Ninja will help a fellow brother or sister in any situation and give/take phone shifts when dire situations arise. Ninjas help each other in pacifying Samurai until the Samurai is satisfied/defeated.
    • VI. Responsibility
      Ninjas take responsibility for their actions. When a Ninja makes a mistake with a customer, he/she acknowledges it and reconciles appropriately. A Ninja never passes off a problem to another Ninja without his or her permission. A Ninja always sees a problem through to its resolution.
    • VII. Resolve
      A Ninja keeps his/her cool in the hottest of deserts. A Ninja, while enthusiastic, remains even-keeled when dealing with a difficult customer. Ninjas hold steadfast to policies and are unwavering in their demeanor. Finally, a Ninja clings tightly to the Ninja code, of which this sentence is a part.
